HydroClean cavity releases Ringer's solution to the wound for up to three days when covered with an additional HydroClean wound pad or secured with a film dressing. The SAP used in HydroClean inactivates matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) that interfere with wound healing, thereby reactivating a stagnant healing process in chronic wounds.
