HydroTac® Comfort is a foam dressing with a gas-permeable, fluid- and microbe-impermeable outer layer made of polyurethane with a hydrogel coating. The HydroTac product line offers active, bifunctional moisture management in the wound microenvironment, whereby the hydrogel keeps the wound moist and prevents sticking, while the foam layer absorbs and retains exudate from wounds with mild to moderate exudation during the granulation and epithelialization phases of wound healing, even under compression. The outer, waterproof layer serves as a protective barrier against bacteria and external contaminants. The product is suitable for both chronic and acute wounds. The gel on the wound-contact layer prevents the dressing from sticking to the wound. It enables atraumatic dressing changes. For secure, germ-proof fixation, HydroTac comfort is equipped with a circumferential, hypoallergenic adhesive border.
